Scope

These terms and conditions apply to all quotes, orders, deliveries, installations and repairs by Brahoni SA, Route du Village 71, 1974 Arbaz (hereinafter “Brahoni”). By accepting our quote, the client accepts them. Special terms set out in the quote or in a signed contract take precedence over these terms.

Quotes

Our quotes are free and remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. They are based on the information, plans and measurements available at the time of the quote. Attached drawings and specifications form an integral part of the quote.

Our quotes comply with the standards and guidelines in force, in particular the SIA standards in force. On the drawings, inward-opening windows and doors are shown as seen from inside, outward-opening ones as seen from outside.

Control

The order is binding as soon as the client accepts the quote or the order confirmation. The client checks the confirmation (dimensions, opening direction, colours, glazing, options) and notifies us immediately of any corrections.

Our products are made to measure. Any change requested after the order may result in an additional charge and a delay.

When we take the measurements on site ourselves, we are responsible for their accuracy. When the dimensions are supplied by the client or their architect, they are responsible for them.

Prices

Prices are in Swiss francs, plus VAT at the applicable statutory rate. Unless otherwise stated, they include supply and, where included in the quote, installation. Services not provided for in the quote (masonry, plastering or electrical work, difficult access, crane truck, disposal of special materials, waiting time on site) are invoiced in addition, after informing the client.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in the quote, the price is payable as follows:

50 %on order
40 %on installation of the windows and doors
10 %handover

Invoices are payable net within 30 days. Manufacturing starts on receipt of the order deposit. In the event of late payment, Brahoni may charge default interest of 5 % per year and suspend further work until payment. The client may withhold an amount only in proportion to a reported and acknowledged defect.

Lead times

Manufacturing and delivery times are given in good faith and depend on our suppliers’ lead times. They run from receipt of the signed order, the deposit and all necessary technical information. A delay due to force majeure, a supplier, the weather or the progress of the building site gives no right to compensation. We inform the client without delay of any foreseeable delay.

Site and installation

The client provides, on the agreed date:

  • practicable access for vehicles and to the installation location, and protected storage space if needed;
  • ready and clear openings, as well as electricity on site;
  • the necessary permits (building permit, permit for a crane truck, approval from the heritage office for a listed building).

If an airtightness test (blower door) is planned after installation, the client informs us at least 14 days in advance so that all windows are adjusted. Otherwise, the cost of a repeat test is not borne by Brahoni.

Delays or additional trips due to a site that is not ready are invoiced on a time-and-materials basis.

Acceptance

At the end of installation, the client and Brahoni inspect the work together and, where possible, draw up an acceptance report. Visible defects are recorded in this report. Without a written reservation, the work is deemed accepted when it is put into use, at the latest 30 days after installation.

Defects discovered later must be reported to us in writing as soon as they are discovered, within the statutory period of 60 days.

Ownership

The products delivered remain the property of Brahoni until the price has been paid in full. Brahoni may have this retention of title entered in the competent register. The statutory rights of craftsmen and contractors, in particular the construction lien, are reserved.

Warranty

Our products are guaranteed for 24 months from acceptance, unless otherwise stated in the quote or contract. For installation work incorporated into a building, the warranty periods of the Swiss Code of Obligations apply.

The warranty covers manufacturing and installation defects. We repair or replace the defective part free of charge, at our discretion and within a reasonable time. It does not cover:

  • normal wear and damage due to misuse, impact, lack of maintenance or third-party intervention;
  • damage caused by the work of other trades (plaster, paint, abrasive cleaning, chemicals);
  • condensation on the inside face of the glass, which depends on the humidity and ventilation of the room;
  • thermal breakage of the glass and scratches that appear after acceptance.

Appearance and tolerances

Wood is a natural material: grain, knots and colour vary from piece to piece and change with the light. Colours seen on screen or on a sample may differ slightly from the finished product. Glass is inspected according to the guidelines in force: small inclusions or scratches invisible at a normal viewing distance do not constitute a defect.

Maintenance

To keep your windows in good condition and maintain the warranty, the client:

  1. removes the protective film from the profiles no later than one month after installation, otherwise it may no longer peel off;
  2. checks the cleanliness of the hardware and drainage grooves after the building work;
  3. lubricates the moving parts of the hardware every six months;
  4. maintains wooden windows (stain or paint) according to their exposure.

A maintenance contract can be taken out on request. See repair and maintenance

Cancellation

As the products are made to measure, an order can no longer be cancelled free of charge once manufacturing has started. If the client cancels, the costs already incurred (materials ordered, manufacturing, work done) are invoiced to them, up to a maximum of the agreed price.

Liability

Brahoni is liable for damage it causes intentionally or through gross negligence. Its liability for indirect damage (loss of profit, delay to another trade) is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Brahoni holds business liability insurance.

Personal data

The client’s data is used only for the quote, the order, the installation and after-sales service. It is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

Relations between Brahoni and the client are governed by Swiss law, in particular the Swiss Code of Obligations. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Brahoni SA, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law, in particular in favour of consumers.

Version of October 2026. These terms may be amended; the version in force at the time of the order applies.
